About Canton Nature Society
Who We Are
Canton Nature Society was founded by Canton residents who believed that caring for local natural spaces is a community responsibility, not something to leave to chance or to someone else. We started small, with a shared conviction that stewardship of the land is a community responsibility. That belief still drives everything we do. Today CNS is an active organization with a service agreement with Canton Township, ongoing restoration projects, and a growing community of volunteers and supporters.
How we work with the township
CNS holds a service agreement with Canton Township that allows us to collaborate directly on stewardship and environmental programming within township parks and natural areas. We bring community expertise, volunteer energy, and organizational capacity. The Township brings land management authority and partnership. Together we're able to do work that neither could do as well alone.

Promotes native landscapes through education, advocacy, and community engagement.
